IQ Workforce is the leading staffing company for the global analytics community.

Our client is a leading multi-channel retailer based in Columbus Ohio.  They have a very compelling story to tell.  The company has invested heavily in all of the latest and greatest tools and technologies over the past 2 years and they brought in a top-notch Director of Digital Analytics.

Now they need a great Data Analytics Lead (Statistical Modeler) to help them understand current campaign effectiveness and evolve their data analytics practice (along with helping to build and mentor a team of analysts).

This is a new role within eCommerce Analytics team, with focus on data and customer analyses and campaign execution support.  Primary objectives are to help monetize their newly created CDW through in-depth customer and campaign analyses, develop a segmentation approach for their customer base and Email file, build predictive models (response, churn, propensity, lookalike etc), and incorporate new data types and sources into existing structures. 

This role would closely partner with their CRM/Campaigns team to help support their advanced reporting and segmentation needs. Bring passion for learning and data-informed decision-making that shapes a holistic view of their business with consideration for all aspects of the customer experience, from front-end web and store experience through order fulfillment and customer service. 

Responsibilities include:

CRM/Campaign Support 

Perform advanced Ad Hoc customer analyses (value tiers, LTV, cohort analyses) and data queries

Help set up periodic campaign, housefile, customer, promo reporting for CRM team

Help CRM team identify optimization opportunities (contact/promo strategy etc)

Support CRM/Loyalty initiatives with exploratory research and Ad Hoc analyses

Modeling & Segmentation 

Build out robust segmentation schemes for our customer and email files

Build various predictive models (response, propensity, affinity, churn etc)

Identify "low hanging" opportunities that increase conversion, save costs, drive revenue

Incorporate new data sources (social, clickstream, unstructured) and new types of data into segmentation/modeling

Analytics Ecosystem 

Serve as quantitative SME for eCommerce and broader teams within the company

Be a key player in shaping overall analytics roadmap, tool/platform selection (including new generation and Big Data tools)

Help build out Data/Customer Analytics discipline; grow the team and develop and mentor junior analysts

Be an evangelist of data-informed decision making and consistently identify new ways to leverage data and analysis

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree or equivalent experience a plus

5-8 years of Data/Customer Analytics experience (retail environment is a plus), including:

Segmentation

Modeling (response, propensity, affinity, churn etc) and expertise in various modeling techniques & approaches

Advanced analyses (LTV, basket analysis, contact stream optimization, elasticity etc)

Advanced Reporting

Proficiency with SQL and SAS (Miner, Enterprise is a plus) or R (or SPSS)

Familiarity with Big Data platforms

Highly motivated/self-starter with a sense of ownership, willingness to learn, and desire to succeed

Must perform well in high pressure situations, balance competing priorities, and demonstrate the ability to work without direct supervision
